It’s estimated approximately 80% of the population will experience back pain at some point in their lives. In most cases it will be low back pain. If you’re suffering from it, a number of different issues could trigger the symptoms. In most cases it’s a case of swelling – usually in the muscles around the spine but often it could be something more severe like a slipped disc. In any case, your regular physician isn’t likely to provide too much help. You may get some pain killers and muscle relaxers to help the swelling, but beyond that and an ice pack there isn’t usually much that will be done.
Instead, you can turn to chiropractic care to help reduce many of the problems you might be having. Things like swelling, herniated disc, sciatica, numbness, tingling, nerve pain, and more may all be lessened through the use of chiropractic care. Low back pain is often the result of various muscles or vertebrae pressing on your nerves, and chiropractic may be able to help alleviate that pressure. If you’re tired of masking the pain with drugs, consider a chiropractic option.
